Heart Check 

Use these quesitons to find out your students loves, passions, and interest. These are designed to be both light-hearted AND "deep." Students should ALWAYS be able to pass if they aren't comfortable (yet!) with the question. 


Think of an important moment. Share with the group a description of the moment in time. Keep the time frame short (when you made a winning shot vs. the whole game OR when you saw a baby giraffe stand up and wobble vs. a trip to the zoo).  Only describe the moment, not how you felt. 

Question: Are you able to tell the feeling each student has about their moment? How? Could you have a different feeling about the same moment? 


What advice do you give to friends that you should follow yourself, but don't? 

Question: Do you like to give advice? Get it? When someone is telling us important, personal nformation, what can we do instead of give advice? 


Share with the group your pets (or lack of pets). 

Question: If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be and why? 


Would you rather be the best player on the worst team OR the worst player on the best team? Go around the group and share your answer. 

Question: What does your answer tell you about yourself? 

Ice Cream

What flavor of ice cream do you wish existed? Remember to combine flavors to create something especially good!

Question: Did you keep the same choice, or did someone in the group create a better option?
